Judicial Branch

This particular branch of government is charged with the interpretation of laws, and the administration of justice. When there is a dispute that can’t be solved outside of the court system, the case then “goes to court”. After hearing all the evidence from the parties involved in the dispute, a judge makes a decision based on the law that applies to the facts. There are many ways to resolve disputes without going to court and having a judge hear the case. Lawyers are  skilled at settling legal disputes. The Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), refers to the various ways disputed are settled outside of the court system, such as negotiation, mediation and arbitration.
